Most detergents do the job — but they leave sulphate traces, synthetic fragrance residue, and optical brighteners sitting in the fabric. Your skin absorbs that over the next 10 hours of wear. You don't notice it on day one. But over months, fabrics go rough, colors dull, and sensitive skin gets irritated for no obvious reason.
We use plant-based agents — coconut surfactant, neem extract, citric acid. They clean the same way but leave behind nothing your skin shouldn't be touching. The clothes come back genuinely soft, not detergent-soft.

Whatever doesnt rinse out of the fabric — SLS residue, synthetic fragrance, brightener traces — spends the next day pressed against your skin. Most people dont connect this with the irritation they occasionally feel. Its worth thinking about.
Clothes stop going rough after 6 washes
Conventional detergents work by abrading the fibre surface — thats how they strip dirt. Organic agents encapsulate and lift instead. The fibre surface stays intact. Colors hold longer. That pilling you expect after a few months? It slows down quite a bit.
Drainage water that isn't toxic
We wash 400+ kg a week. The water going back into Lucknows drainage after an organic wash is meaningfully cleaner. Plant-based surfactants biodegrade fast. Synthetic ones dont. Multiply that by thousands of households, and it actually matters.
How we do it
The Process.

Sort First, Always
Silk goes with silk. Cotton with cotton. Mixing fabric types in one wash is one of the most common ways clothes get damaged — different fibres need different temperatures and levels of agitation. We dont mix.

Stains Get 20 Minutes, Not 20 Seconds
A neem-based solution goes on the stained area and sits for 20–30 minutes. This is what actually removes the stain — not the main wash. Most people rush this step. We dont.

Cool Water, Plant Solution, Nothing Else
Cold or warm — we match the temperature to the fabric. Plant-based solution goes in, nothing else does. No bleach, no brighteners, no fragrance chemicals. Just the wash.

Air Dry First, Machine Finish If Needed
We air-dry before any machine finishing. Heat shrinks fabric — especially cotton and linen. Air drying removes most of that risk. Then folded or pressed as requested, and sent back.
What goes in
Our Ingredients.
Coconut Surfactant
The main cleaning agent. Lifts grease and dirt from fabric the way soap does — except it biodegrades within 48 hours and doesnt irritate skin in the process.
Neem Extract
Antibacterial. Neem kills odour-causing bacteria effectively — Indian households have known this for a long time. We standardize the concentration so it works consistently, batch after batch.
Citric Acid
From lemons. Softens hard water, brightens whites without bleach, and helps the rinse cycle actually clear everything out. No synthetic rinse aid needed.
Aloe Vera
Goes in at the final rinse. Leaves a thin conditioning layer on the fibre — which is why organic-washed cotton feels noticeably softer than what you're probably used to after laundry.
Filtered Water
Lucknow tap water has chlorine. Chlorine reacts with organic cleaning agents and reduces their effectiveness — and it isnt great for silk or wool. We filter before every single wash.
Lavender Oil (Optional)
A small amount of actual lavender oil — not synthetic lavender fragrance. If you have any fragrance sensitivity or just prefer no scent, tell us when you book. We skip it entirely.

FAQ.
Yes. Plant-based surfactants work through micelle formation — they surround dirt molecules and carry them away in water. Its a different mechanism from synthetic surfactants but the result for everyday clothing is the same, or better. Where conventional detergents have an edge is very heavy industrial staining. For normal wear, organic is more than adequate.
Yes, and its actually one of the main reasons people opt for it. Infant skin has a thinner barrier than adult skin and absorbs more from surface contact. Standard detergents leave fragrance and surfactant residue that can cause rashes or dryness in babies. Our formulation has no synthetic fragrance, no SLS, and no optical brighteners. Its genuinely appropriate for newborn clothing.
Its actually better for color retention. Optical brighteners in synthetic detergents make whites look whiter but subtly dull other colors over time. Organic wash without brighteners maintains the actual dye in the fabric better. We also wash darks in cold water specifically. Most customers find their clothes hold color noticeably longer.
They smell clean — not heavily perfumed, but clean. We use a very small amount of lavender essential oil in the final rinse. Its subtle. If you prefer completely unscented, just say so when you book. And no — there's no unpleasant organic smell. Clean is just clean.
Right now, no. We've priced it the same as our standard wash. The organic ingredients cost us more to source, but we think clean and safe shouldn't be a premium thing. Whether that holds long-term as we scale, we'll see. For now — same price.
Yes. Just mention it on WhatsApp when you book — "organic for the baby clothes and cotton shirts, regular for everything else." We separate and process them accordingly. No extra charge for splitting the order.
